It's been a while since we've had an event, but I'd love to get together in Feb. Any suggestions for a location?
Looking at Tuesday, Feb 23rd.

I'd like to get together
I still haven't made it to one of these meetings since I joined this group last fall, so I'd love to be able to make it to one someday soon. I'm starting to build a backlog of Drupal projects and would like to meet up with some local people that I could contract projects to on an as needed basis. I like to meet the people I'm giving work to, and this seems like a great place to do that.
So, what does everyone else think. Can we actually get a meeting planned and attended? If everyone puts in their 2 cents early, we can find a place that works for the most people.
I'm coming from Katy, so anything West of downtown typically works for me. I'm not a big fan of driving all the way to downtown or midtown, but will do so if that's what works best for everyone. The Galleria are would be fine, as would the Memorial City area.
We've got an office here in Stafford
Hello all,
I've got meeting space that can be used here in Stafford. 10701 Corporate Drive, Suite 112. We can provide refreshments (no steak and lobster) - I'd do this in the hope that you'd leave with a emunications.com business card and happy thoughts of drupal development.
Mayhaps I can finally do that "How to write a module" discussion. Any requests on tutorials?

Sounds Good to Me
This sounds like a good place to meet (conveniently located off 59). I'd love to learn more about writing modules! : )

Stafford Drupal Meetup
Here's another vote for Stafford! I live in the heart of Fort Bend County, so Stafford is very convenient.
Meetup
Hi, I'm in Sugar Land, Stafford sounds good to me of course : )
Regards,
Daniel
Well then, let's do it shall we?
If it's alright with Katherine, let's go ahead and mark it down for here. I'll see what we can do about ordering some pizza and I'll do a short presentation on module development.
Barring any suggestions, I'll go through the process of developing a header carousel module. It seems to be a common need; interfacing with views, content types, jQuery and custom templates. I've just written one using the jquery cycle plugin so I'll flesh it out a bit and make it more user friendly.
That sounds great. Want to
That sounds great. Want to go ahead and post it?
Looking forward to my first meeting
I met several of you at the Lullabot DIWD Seminar in New Orleans in December. I am looking forward to coming to the first meeting, and may have a new employee to bring along with me, too. We are about to start work on several Drupal projects, and would love to build connections with other Drupal developers here in Houston.
Hi! It'll be good to see you
Hi! It'll be good to see you again. I hope lots can make it this time.
I've gone ahead and posted the meetup as an event.
Go ahead and sign up there so that I can get an idea of headcount. If this is a success, what do people think of trading off presentations per week? We can do possibly do an SEO class and maybe a theming class if folks are interested.
Sign up ... where?
Ah, here!

Wow, I can come!
It's an evening meeting, right? I'll be in Houston that week, so hope to see you all!
Great, it'll be nice to meet an acquia-ite... acquian?
Talk about pressure. Interested in presenting something of your own?
If you want ...
... I always have an Apache Solr presentation ready to go. Depends on people's interest levels. I'm quite happy to just hang around and chat.
Have git, will travel
Will you take a Bryan traveler? I've attended Austin group meetups regularly and would like to come check out Houston. Secretly, I'm hoping a group will spontaneously sprout up here in my neck of the woods.
eek! long drive
Heading in from the woodlands.
I plan to be there too... I
