Ok how time flies. We need to keep life in this group so how about a meet up this month.

I am putting out a special invitation to Trevor Forrest since he's now in the Global Drupal media to give us a presentation on Drupal in Government .gov.jm
You can set the time, we generally have meeting around 6pm sometime in the middle of the week. Location should be UWI Campus if all is well.

With that aside for those who can code or want to learn how to code modules. There is a motion itching to develop an ecommerce module that integrates with the NCB credit card system here in JA. That I think will integrate with Ubercart. Indicate if you want to also join up for a code sprint.
With regards to the code sprint, I dont think it might be appropriate for a regular meeting so for those who were are up to it can we figure out a date & time? I'm tentatively "free" from anywhere between a Saturday night to a Thursday night (except next week) .

There is a Drupal Sandbox available for ppl who just want to play around with Drupal - http://drupal.exterbox.com contact me for the credentials to add your own site.

Great

That is great news, I think the 16th may be a great time, we will have more time to promote it to those interested in attending. Do we all agree with this arrangement? Varun, is MSB still available? also importantly is it available till after 8pm? If not please inform me so I can try to source alternate locations.
I suggest we all take about $100 - $200 per person so we can get pizza and Juice.

As soon as we finalise location i will create the event - for the 16th @ 6pm if there are no objections.

cool

MSB should be available but perhaps not past 8pm. If we can fix the time like 6-8 then maybe I can see if we can get the space. The 16th works for me.

http://www.drupalgardens.com/ is also a way to test drive or play around with Drupal for free.

See you all soon. I'm looking forward to this presentation on Drupal in Government .gov.jm

Feb 16th meeting

Greetings all,

I have a tutorial room (in my office space @ Humanities) that I could offer for the meeting after 8 PM. That is if you do not mind outdated metal chairs in a class room setting. However I am a bit timid of when the meeting will end, as I perceive that Drupal meetings can go beyond 10 PM even when and if they begin promptly.

6 PM time and the date OK with me.

The library association just changed officers this month, and I will be attending an executive meeting next week with them. I am actually stepping down from the office of Chair of the IT working party, but I will be ensuring that the new incumbent will be on board with a Drupal session for librarians.

What are directions to find your office?

Directions to my office

Bottom floor of the Humanities block.

If you drive by Mary Seacole end, you will be beside the Humanities parking lot. Walking in from there towards the big tree, my room is on the building on the bottom floor, just after you pass the Jamaica Language Unit. The room number is Room 75, with my name on the door.
