Drupal 8 is scheduled to be released on Nov 19, 2015, which is a major milestone not just for the Drupal world, but the PHP world, open source world, and web technologies in general. Drupal 8 is a testament to how open source communities can achieve the best of all worlds through massive collaboration and still leverage modern industry standards and practices.

"Come for the code and stay for the community." - This is the slogan for Drupal and we are true to it. We will join over 170 locations worldwide in celebrating the release. The finer details are being worked out but here is the rough schedule:

10 AM - Gather, networking

10:30 AM - What's new in Drupal 8 for site builders

11 AM - What's new in Drupal 8 for developers

11:30 AM - Drupal Community

12 PM - 1 PM - Cake Cutting, lunch, celebrations, networking.

We are excited to announce 91SpringBoard as our coworking partners. They will host the release celebrations at their office. More details and map link are available on the meetup page.
