Summary:
A lovely project which is currently 90% complete and based on Drupal. We have been working on it for two years and is basically a website that allows people to contribute to causes around the world. I'm looking for someone who is really passionate and looking for a project that might lead to a full time career working with other developers and designers that are passionate and top of their game in exciting and challenging times.

Details:
Over the past couple of years a I have formed a group of developers and designers around the UK to build a website which is the main hub for the organisation as a whole. Each person working on the project is treated as it is his/her baby and they treat it likewise. The site is currently 95% complete with final tweaks required in design, CSS and the Drupal programming to allow the site to launch in a beta phase.

Unfortunately due to family disruptions a couple of key developers have had to step back from project slightly and it has been left in a paused state. We're now looking for someone with similar motivations and aims to take over and work with us and get the site to a Beta phase and beyond.

Sorry this is a little vague but obviously we do not want to divulge every detail since we feel it is unique and has potential to become a huge success.

I am based in Bristol and available to meet-up / discuss during week days, evenings or weekends.

Tim

Setup: Management via basecamp and Unfuddle, dedicated Windows server, MySQL.

How does your proposal meet the stated goals of the Knight Drupal Initiative program?:

Hugely. We have the experience to build in various frameworks or develop from scratch but we have found that the Drupal community fits very well with our own attitudes. We're also looking forward to sharing new and exciting modules / developments with the community over time.

How long will your project take to complete?:

8 -12 weeks to Beta. Continual Development thereafter.

How will you implement and distribute your project?:

The project is based on giving to a number of causes. As a result the marketing of the site will be relatively easy through existing charities chosen to initially be part of the first causes.

What is your total budget estimate and how much funding are you requesting:

Approximately £5,000 in order to push the project to Beta. From there we feel that finances and grants will follow from other sources.

I'm very interested and available (and I live in Bristol!) but not sure I have the level of skills required for a large project. If you're still looking, can we discuss?
