Dear All,

We would like to thank each one of you for coming to the event this Saturday. During our 2015 retrospect we came across many questions and discussed the challenges like - how to increase participation , Challenges with venue and funding , Code Sprints , Community role in extending the Drupal market etc. In all it was a great discussion and we want to take your suggestions and feedback to plan 2016. I am putting the meeting notes with action items below. Feel free to add your queries/suggestions in the comment.

  1. Main challenge for the attendees is the venue - more people voted for central and easily approachable venue.
  2. We should also do virtual meetups where we need to involve more people , like some discussions , decision making etc.
  3. We can have IIT B as a preferred venue but we can also utilize offices of Drupal Companies on rotation basis
  4. There should be more communications and regular communications - Like Sending the Monthly updates in form of news-letter, Engagement through Email , Social media and other Channels
  5. SPOCS should meet more often - maybe once in every month and touchbase on Drupal Mumbai activities
  6. We must conduct regular code sprints and engage more developers to contribute. there should be a structured approach to code sprints. Also the venue of the code sprints should be chosen carefully.
  7. Having a Drupal CIO meet up to extend the Drupal market in India , if successful, we can have it on rotation basis every year.

We are open to more suggestions and feedback. Please put your feedback and suggestions in the comment section.

if you wish to join the Drupal Mumbai team, send a Hello message to info@drupalmumbai.org and tell us how you want to contribute.
