Last week there were important decisions again:
I discussed with my mentors that it's not surely fortunate to call the new module "SimpleFeed", because it's true that i'll use some part of the module/ideas but it will use other module's part too (for eg. the Aggregation's parser). So the final name is FeedAPI. After the name was decided, I created the project page. The usual Drupal CVS repository was set up too.
First part of the week
I created the skeleton of the planned new module. It was a modification of SimpleFeed because of the previous plans, but it's a huge help for me in the coding stage. This skeleton is not for usage, it's only for generating Doxygen documentation. It's the part of the design plans. But it's more concrete than a wiki page.
Last part of the week and Monday
I started the coding. This will be the task in the coming few days definitely.
The detailed current status of the code can be found here.

Great
Nice work, Aron. I'm looking forward to everyone joining forces on one module :P
Looks good...
@Boris
We're hoping it turns out very well. Morbus has been actively giving feedback (he wants the module done), and many other members of the Drupal community have commented on the work being done.
@Aron The project page should mention Summer of Code, BTW.

Thanks :) I created a
Thanks :)
I created a mailing list for those who are want to see the development process in really detail, currently the members of the list: mentors, Morbus and me. Do you like the idea to joining to these list? If yes, I'll add you to the members.
If it's okay, I'd love to join the list
The work accomplished to date on this (particularly the background research prior to writing actual code) looks great --
I've been following the progress on this since you wrote up your proposal (and since agentrickard wrote up the proposal for an aggregator api after the OSCMS meetup at Yahoo!
