Stony Brook University along with Sego Solutions, a Long Island based Drupal Shop and Phase2 a leader in open source and creative solutions, have teamed up to offer an Introduction to Drupal 8 as part of the Drupal Association's Global Training Days.
This FREE, FULL DAY, training is open to anyone interested in learning more about Drupal and the new features of Drupal 8. The training will be broken up into two halves with the morning session serving as high level overview of D8, What’s new and what’s changed since D7, while the afternoon will be focused on hands on exercises and site building.
Participants must bring their own laptop. To help streamline the development exercises, all participants will be given access to a virtual Drupal development environment through Stack Starter (http://www.stackstarter.io). Help also will be available for anyone who wishes to install Drupal locally.
