DrupalCAP 2015 recap and Plans Ahead

Hi Folks,

In Jan 2015, the idea of DCAP was initiated and by the end of the year - we launched www.drupalcap.org.. The idea was to bring Drupal in Education and it was discussed in all major camps throughout the year. With the Pilot Launch - we hope to spread the idea across the Indian Drupal Community. On 23rd this month, we are going to SICSR College, Pune - looking for the very first Drupal Campus Ambassador.

We now need help from regional community leads, and other active members to spread the word, reach out to colleges and universities in your region so we can take this initiative to it's next level.

Project Roadmap

  • Pilot Phase [Jan 2016]: We will on-board selected colleges in Western region with the help of local drupal community.
  • Phase 1 [Mid 2016]: Based on the learnings from Pilot phase, we will onboard tier-1 colleges in each region.
  • Phase 2 : We will expand the program to other known colleges in each region
  • Open to all : Program will be open for any Colleges and Universities. They can sign up for the program to participate.

In order to do so, we need to involve more colleges find more DCAs and, groom the DCAs to evangelize Drupal incolleges. Regional community leads can play a significant role here by promoting this program and connecting us to colleges in their region.

We need your support ! DrupalCAP will not only benefit Educational institutions and Universities but also the Drupal Community and Drupal Projects as we introduce more young minds to this open Source Projects. . It’s a Win-Win for all

  • Students get exposure to the world outside college and learn about the Industry requirements way ahead of starting their Open Source career
  • Companies get rich Drupal Talent
  • Colleges / Universities will be benefited as there will be better recruitment and internship opportunity
  • Community get’s benefitted as we get more young minds to do more cool things with Drupal.

DrupalCon Asia 2016

We will be featuring Drupal Campus Ambassador program in Higher-Ed Summit.@ DrupalCon Asia. We are also keeping a BoF session on Drupal In Education at DrupalCon to talk about DrupalCAP initiative.
