Anyone want to meet up for a drink and talk about what they're doing with Drupal? I just moved to Champaign last month from Saint Paul, MN and would love to meet others in the area.
I'll be at Hubers (1312 W Church St, Champaign, IL 61821) on Tuesday April 12th from 5:30pm to at least 7pm. If you're thinking about coming, leave a quick comment so I can be on the lookout for you. I'll be wearing my blue/teal Drupal shirt - so you can't miss me.
Can't make it, but want to go to some other meetup on a regular basis? Leave a comment about that too. I just got back from MidCamp and met at least two other people who sound interested in a regular meetup. Let's talk!

Thanks for the RSVP We're about two weeks out and I've heard from 2 others so far who want to meet up. This is already success in my mind, but surely there are others in central Illinois who want to talk about Drupal?

Meetup
I'm located in Springfield and work in Bloomington. It's not extremely active, but there is a Bloomington meetup that gets together.
Maybe we could put something together to pull central IL together for a longer period of time (half/full day) to make the drives more appealing.

Ah, I didn't realize that Bloomington has a group too. That's good to know, but harder for me since I don't have a car. I wonder if anyone from CU attends regularly.
What you're describing sounds almost like a Drupal camp or unconference. MidCamp in Chicago was just a couple weeks ago, and I see that there was a camp in STL last year, but it hasn't yet been announced for 2016. Still, a smaller regional event would be cool.

I'd definitely be interested in a local group that meets semi-regularly. We had a brief run several years ago, but interest sort of waned.
