On Tuesday, April 19, we'll meet for another Dinner with Drupal. Between 17:30 and 19:30 a number of presentations will be given, after which we will have dinner and drinks in town. There are open spots for those who will want to demonstrate interesting new technologies or services, or who will want to pitch ideas. Please contact us, so we can put you in the schedule.
We'll meet at Druid's office in downtown Amsterdam, which can easily be reached by bike, car, bus, or train. Refreshments will be available.
We welcome everybody who uses Drupal, or everybody who wants to start using it. You don't have to be a guru to attend. There will be developers, designers, businesspeople, newbies and hardcore users. Over the past few editions of this event, attendees have come from all across the Netherlands and Germany.

Marc van Gend: Cacheability metadata: How Drupal 8 solves one hard problem
"There are only two hard things in Computer Science: cache invalidation and naming things."
Most developers are familiar with this well-known quote. But we are lucky: Drupal 8 solves the cache invalidation part with a sophisticated yet complex caching system. The key to using this is cacheability metadata. This data helps Drupal decide what can be cached and when it must be invalidated.
In this practical session, you will learn what you need to do as a module developer to leverage the powerful caching system in Drupal 8. Correctly applying Cache Keys, Cache Tags, Cache Contexts and Cache Max-age will help you optimize performance while always serving up-to-date content to the end user.
This talk is a concise try-out of my session at the DrupalJam conference, may 12th.
