Website accessibility is starting to gain interest among web communities by becoming an important component of website development. Resources and guidelines are becoming more relevant and available than ever before. We will take a walk through the WCAG quick guide and some online tools to assist with testing your site for compliance.
We will cover the following:

  • What is website accessiblity?
  • Why is website accessibility important?
  • What are accessbility standards? Where can I find them?
  • What accessibility level of standardization should be my goal?
  • There are so many requirements for each standard, how do I prioritize them for my site?
  • What are some things I can do today, that can improve my website's accessiblilty?
  • Usability is also important, how can I can test usability?

8-9 pm: Feature presentation

After 9 we will retire to Brick City Grill for refreshments.
