Our next UMN Drupal Users meeting will take place on Friday, February 24th, from noon to 1:00pm. (Yes, that's Friday instead of Thursday, a change due to room availability.)

This month we have a pair of presentations on using Composer with Drupal. Composer is a tool for dependency management in PHP, and Drupal has been evolving to work with Composer over recent releases.
First, Gabe Ormsby will present on using Composer and Capistrano to automate deployment of the UMN Libraries' Drupal 7 sites, which are hosted on OIT-provided managed VMs. If time allows, he may also show some tricks for easy database- and file syncing across those environments, as well.
In our second presentation, Jim Hart and John Starr will show how the OIT Drupal team is using composer to manage modules and dependencies in Drupal 8, including making it a part of their build process while developing OIT's Drupal 8 offering.
Bring your lunch if you'd like, and we hope to see you on the 24th!
