Join us on March 21 at the Drupal NoVA meetup at 7 pm for a presentation on Improving Drupal 8 development workflow.

Drupal 8 has changed a lot and the process for building, managing and deploying a Drupal site is not the exception.

During this presentation, Jesus Manuel Olivas, Drupal & Symfony Consultant at @weKnowInc. and Co-maintainer of DrupalConsole project, will talk about how to use composer to improve your development workflow and reduce project setup and onboarding time, implement automated analysis tools for code review and code coverage and finally how to build and artifact and deploy your project.

• Using Composer to manage project dependencies.
• Applying Patches.
• Adding and updating drupal modules and third party libraries.
• Overriding settings and configurations.
• Managing configuration changes through the CLI.
• Using Git to manage code changes.
• Executing composer scripts to install Drupal, import/override configurations, install drupal and/or import a database dump.
• Execute code coverage and static analysis tools.
• Build and artifact and deploy project.

Are you confused by what "Dependency Injection" means? Oscar Merida will go over the theory of this popular design pattern and show you how it helps to write more flexible, testable classes in his presentation Intro to Dependency Injection.

Oscar Merida is the Editor-in-chief of php[architect] magazine. He's worked with Drupal since version 4.7 for various non-profits, D.C. United, and government agencies.

Our regular meetup is the third Tuesday of every month - rotating between ICF and Bixal in Fairfax. This meetup will take place at Bixal in Fairfax, VA.
Bixal: 3050 Chain Bridge Rd., Suite 420, Oakton, VA

Look forward to seeing you there!
