Hey Durbs!
Mark Pape from Deep Current is currently building a custom module on Drupal 7 and is eager to share his experience.
The module is for a client that needs to allow existing customers to login and request back-office "Copies of Documents" and "Reports" via API. The intention is to reduce the need to contact customer support for these documents.
This means the Module makes use of the Forms API, Menu API, HTTP Requests, Database API for logging and reporting of transactions, etc.
