Announcing Dates and Venue for the 2018 PNWDS Summit in Portland!
The 2018 Pacific Northwest Drupal Summit will take place February 3-4, 2018 at the University Place Hotel in Portland, Oregon. The 2-day Summit will aim to help Drupal developers and site builders "level-up" their Drupal 8 knowledge and ability to:
- Build awesome Drupal 8 sites
- Contribute to Drupal 8 core and contributed module or theme development
- Better understand how Drupal 8 works "under the hood"
- Connect with people in the Drupal community

Superbowl weekend?
I sure hope the Seahawks don't make the Superbowl... I mean, sorta hope?
Regardless, thank you for all the work you're doing to organize. I'm looking forward to it!
Superbowl
As a Portlander, I freely admit that Superbowl weekend was nowhere on my radar when I scheduled the event. But I can definitely see how the Seattle folks might feel differently. :)
I wanted to avoid a weekend near Valentine's Day as the hotel prices can go up that weekend. Also, I wanted to steer clear of other popular DrupalCamps toward the end of the month and beginning of March. So that left the first weekend in February.
The main ballroom will be set up with round tables and used for BoFs, Sprints, (as well as the Keynote). So, if folks wanted to have a Superbowl BoF on Sunday they could conceivably do so, and then adjourn to a local bar after the event was over.

Past years the NFL offered a free video stream of the Superbowl. So if people really want to watch it, it should be easily viewable.
