This Saturday Triplo and Silicon Prairie Portal and Exchange are hosting a "Best of DrupalCon" open house for the local community. Anyone interested in Drupal is welcome to drop in and hang out with us.
Drop in for as little or as long as you like. We've scheduled a variety of DrupalCon related activities.
- Watching DrupalCon sessions - we've been collecting recommendations and will take requests. We'll post a rough schedule later in week. We have the capacity to have more than one session running at any given time. Here are some on our list so far:
- You matter more than the cause - Jeff Eaton
- WordPress vs Drupal: How the website industry is evolving
- Lessons from Open-Source Journalism
- Dries Q&A
- Nurturing a Productive Lifestyle
- Modernize D8 Admin UX and Accessibility with Material Admin Theme
- Sprinting - come sprint on Drupal for a few hours or just bring a Drupal project and work on it.
- Board Games - Starting at 5:00 we'll order dinner, serve beverages, and play board games until everyone is tired and gone home.
We'll provide beverages and snacks and we'll place a group order for lunch and dinner.
Please, feel free to come during the day for a few hours OR just drop by in the evening for board games. Please, post a note here if you plan to come or contact me via Twitter @stpaultim or email tim@triplo.co
We're keeping this loose and are open to ideas or suggestions.
Location: Silicon Prairie Portal and Exchange - 475 Cleveland Ave N, St Paul, MN 55104
Time: 10:00am - 10:pm

Enter on the FREEWAY side of building and it's the first door on the right (if you use the far entrance).

Any other recommendations?
Does anyone who was at DrupalCon or has been watching DrupalCon videos have any other sessions to recommend for Saturday?
Remember anyone is welcome for any part of the day. Feel free to just come in the evening and play board games with us.

Getting a perfect 100
The Thursday session on the Advanced Aggregation module was a really good one. The session was packed beyond capacity. It's a quick moving hard hitting presentation.

I'll be there!
I'd love to watch the Advanced Aggregation session - that's come up for me in a project very recently and I've been hesitating to get into it, because it seems like kind of a lot.
Also, I'll bring some board game favorites.
double-post.
grr
Afraid I won't make it
Home stuff (start of the home improvement season, plus light saber battles and legos) have taken over the weekends. Hope to clear the decks for Drupal Camp, though!
Last minute notes about tomorrow (Best of DrupalCon)
A few last minute reminders about tomorrow.
1) Enter the building on the FREEWAY side. Google will take you to the wrong side of the building! Enter in the door at WEST end of building (on the freeway side). First door on the left.
2) Let me know if you think you are coming, but feel free to change your mind tomorrow and drop in unexpected.
3) Bring a friend. This is open to anyone.
4) We will have snacks and beverages. We will place a group order for lunch and/or dinner. Feel free to bring your own supplies for the day.
5) I don't think I will post an exact schedule today. Whoever shows up tomorrow will have a vote on which sessions we watch and at what time. If you are coming late and really want to see a specific session - post us a note and we'll hold off until you get here.
6) Feel free to bring your own games. But, we'll have plenty of games on hand.
7) If your not into the video thing, bring a project to work on or a problem you need help with. We have plenty of space and expertise in the room.
8) If you get lost or have questions, call me at: 651-724-1919.

Thanks everyone
Thanks everyone who came. It was an intimate gathering of five local Drupalers and a brief reunion with another.
We watched the following videos and had some good discussions:
For dinner we connected with Barry Madore and had Fire on the Bluff pizza at Bang Brewery. We wrapped up the day with a game back at Real World One.
