Session 1: Introduction to serverless – Robert Slotjes
During this talk, Robert Slotjes will introduce you to the concept of serverless architecture. You will discover why serverless architecture is great and you will be excited to create your own serverless solutions.
After this session you will know:
- The meaning of ‘serverless’;
- The difference with containers;
- Where and how to run your serverless code;
- Common types of serverless;
- Common use cases;
- Advantages and disadvantages;
- How to combine serverless architecture with Drupal;
- About the possibility to create a serverless state machine;
- How to get started immediately (for free!)
Session 2: Multisite Drupal 8 with Docker4Drupal - Gabor Meszaros
Sometimes, you might need to develop a series of websites that are very similar. This is very common for larger organizations and institutions with independent departments / branches such as Universities, Government Institutions, Corporate Divisions and Intranets.
Drupal has an out of the box solution for handling multisite architecture. Connecting it with docker4drupal you will get a scalable solution.
After this session you will know:
- What is docker4drupal;
- How to configure docker-compose to comply with multisite;
- How to fine tune performance.

How to get there
Our office is at the Janskerkhof 16 in Utrecht. There are several busses from Utrecht Central Station that stop at the Janskerkhof. From the bus stop, walk across the square past the church and you'll find number 16 to the right of café Hofman. We also have a very excellent "fietsenrek" right in front of the gate. Go through the gate onto the courtyard and ring the bell at the green door. Parking your car is possible, but the parking rates at the Janskerkhof are the highest of Utrecht.
