I am trying to enhance the checkout experience and avoid unnecessary customer confusion and mistakes by customizing the shipping section a bit.
First, I would like to remove the default shipping rate -
I want the customer to have to choose their shipping method/rate actively to avoid them missing this section and also missing the shipping options and descriptions as they may just click through it hastily.
Second, I would like to customize the NO SHIPPING RATES AVAILABLE message when customers try to have something shipped outside of our area - I used RULES to only accept certain countries and states, but I would like to rewrite the message to explain that they must have made an invalid choice in SHIPPING ADDRESS.
And Third, (not as much of a priority) it would be nice for the Shipping Line Item to be added via AJAX when selected so the customer can see the total being updated on the same screen.
I am using DRUPAL 7, Commerce, Shipping, Flat Rate, Checkout Pages.
