Free Drupal 8 in a Day Training by Drupal Pune community in association with SICSR on 1st December 2018

Hi Pune Drupalers,

With Drupal 8 gaining traction in the past few days, we are organizing a day full of sessions around it in Pune on 1st December 2018 which is also the Drupal Global Training Day for everyone who works with Drupal.

The topics of these sessions are around the latest stable release of Drupal - 8.

The target audience for these sessions would be anyone who has basic working knowledge in the older versions of Drupal (7 and earlier), and to get started into Drupal 8.

The tentative agenda is as follows :

• Drupal 8 introduction and its impact on the Japanese market [9:30 - 10:00]
• Introduction to changes in terms of site-build [10 - 10:45]
• 3. Composer why & how - covering coming issues with Q&A [11 - 11:45]
• 4. Dependency Injection in Drupal 8 & in general PHP programming. [12 - 12:45]

• 5. D8 custom module workflow. [2 - 2:45]
• 6. Drupal 8 Theming layer -- What's new? [3- 3:45]
• Drupal console as a tooling setup [4- 4:30]
• Open source around D8 + Semantic versioning & release cycle with D8. [4:30 - 5]
• Q&A + Discussion around meetups.

We would also like to continue organizing meetups every month December onward, so we request interested people to join us and co-operate henceforth.

Once the sessions are finalized we shall update this post.

1. Running Local Server :
* Download and Install MAMP/XAMPP/LAMP on your system.
* Windows User: XAMPP would be preferred (Faster and Easier) Install XAMPP for Windows
* Linux User: LAMP would be preferred. Run following command:apt-get install lamp-server

* Open Source
* PHP
* Mysql
