Drupal Mumbai Year-end Meetup and 2019 Roadmap

Thanks for joining the community event. Below is the summary of our discussion and action items

Agenda Points

1. Recap 2018
2. Drupal Mumbai working committee formation. Committee will consist of highly motivated individuals from the different organization who will be responsible for the functioning of Drupal Mumbai in 2019.
3. Drupal Camp Mumbai 2019 event initial briefing and next steps
4. 2019 Event calendar - We will discuss and plan on types of Drupal events - Meetups, sprints, workshops, hackathons, Camps etc.
5. Important announcement regarding legal entity formation and functioning

Notes

1. We summarized 2018 events and other accomplishments. One of the major accomplishment is setting up Drupal Mumbai as a legal entity, which makes us more structured and we now have an operational bank account for raising/parking funds, have a legal agreement with our Partners, Sponsors, Vendors. More details on the Drupal Mumbai entity formation will be shared in the separate post.
2. We discussed ways we can make Drupal Mumbai more vibrant. Some of the good ideas shared include -
   1. More Physical meetups compared to virtual ones
   2. Event Calendar for 2019 with one meetup every month, it can happen on the last Saturday of each month.
   3. Events to target different audiences - Beginner sessions, Advanced Sessions, Paid Workshops, Hackathons, Code Sprints
   4. Setup goals for 2019 as in 1) Induct new members in the community 2) target for Contribution from Mumbai community 3) Bring more experts for tech talk
   5. Drive Initiatives with end goals and targets in mind
3. We discussed the need for a structured working committee, this committee will be formed from the pool of nomination based on individual expertise and interest.
4. We discussed the DCM2019, it will be a completely revamped in next year. 2019 Camp will focus on Business, Developers, and Students.
5. Members attending the meetup also nominated themselves for the working committee

Action Items

1. Publish the Drupal Mumbai working committee nominations and details of the roles and responsibilities
2. Form the working committee in early Jan 2019, Announce
3. Announce the working committee by mid of Jan 2019
4. Publish the event calendar for 2019
5. Schedule next meetup on 29th with the initial set of members who nominated themselves for the working committee
