Is anyone else in Calgary working with:
External Databases
GraphQL
Partial Decoupling
Graph Databases
React with hooks
Webpack
CKEditor Plugins
in relation to Drupal 8.

So this isn't just a static post, I dug out an old screencast I did from a CKEditor client project back in 2016:

CKEditor - Font Families and Sizes

Hello

bloodndn's picture

I have been working with Drupal for some time now. I am more of a front end developer with some working knowledge of databases and Drupal 8.

However, I am down south here in Souther Alberta, specifically on the Blood First Nation. I have been a Drupal enthusiast since D6 and really enjoy working and creating sites for clients on the Reserve.

Best regards,

Hi there @bloodndn. Thanks

Hi there @bloodndn. Thanks for responding to my post. Although you're not in Calgary, it really doesn't matter. If you look at the collection of posts in this group, its been mostly events elsewhere, (ie. other provinces), in the last few years. Perhaps the group can become a place where people can learn and interact with Drupal on a new footing. Is there anything you'd like to see for this group?

Hi all. Just a brief Intro.

I have worked with Drupal since 4.7, but most of my main development work to date is with D6 and D7.

Recent changes in my job has forked me off into the worlds of data analysis and middleware administration with a heavy focus on Java based tools.

I have an interest in GraphQL but not a lot of practical experience.

Hi @grimfandango. Thanks for

Hi @grimfandango. Thanks for posting your intro.

Have you poked around at all with the Java port of GraphQL? I just took a quick peek at it on GitHub. All my stuff is D8 based.

Drush help

bloodndn's picture

Hello Group,

Does anyone have knowledge in regards to Drush? I find it hard to implement on my host through GoDaddy. On my Bitnami Stack for Drupal 8 MAMP setup on my local machine Drush works fine. But I would like to try and instal Drush on my hosted site. I do have a deluxe package on GoDaddy which enables me to have a multi site instance of Drupal. I might try that out.

But I am also a IT manager for a college and around 80% of my time is devoted to managing the colleges IT needs which can take a lot of my time, leaving me usually evenings (when I have the energy) to work on Drupal. But I enjoy working with Drupal for my own knowledge and it makes me a more valuable employee to have a few tricks up my sleeve in the IT realm.

Best Regards,

BloodNDN

On hosted accounts I'm currently running drush 9.5.2 where its been installed using composer. I only use goDaddy to register domains and point them at various addresses.

Drush ..contd..

My email address is slewazimuth@gmail.com I have some stuff to suggest and since you're an IT manager you'll be able to understand and test.
