November meeting topic
Hello everyone,
For our next meeting on the 21st, we will be doing a non-dev talk which I think we can all relate to (I know I can). I will be doing a talk about stress management and providing some nutrition and lifestyle tips.
Also we will have some time for sharing some celebrations - launched a site recently or have an issue you conquered? Would love to hear about it.

Sadly, I won't be there until the new year as I'll be on travel for the holidays, hope it's a good one!
The topic sounds like a good one for this time of the year; the winters in the PNW can be particularly dour.
On the topic, I'll add something I had on my reading list from last year.
How to Be Miserable: 40 Strategies You Already Use is a great short read about how someone can stay happy by NOT accidentally walking into pitfalls, without even thinking about it.
The book's chapters are a distillation of common themes the author, a clinical psychologist in Vancouver BC, took from sessions where he asked patients how they could make themselves feel worse than they already are. The idea behind the technique is simple enough; there are many things we do on autopilot that makes us worse off without even realizing it.
A few chapters touch on notes that are particular for people that work in the world of web development (e.g. Maximize Your Screen Time, Insist on Perfection).
Meeting tonight!
Our monthly SeaDUG meeting is tonight. Jeanne Cost will present information about stress management and tips for staying healthy. We will discuss new features in Drupal 8.8, along with other Drupal news. There will also be time for site or module demonstrations and quick tips.
The food this time will be delicious Mediterranean food from Cafe Paloma. The usual alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
