Drupal User Group Trivandrum Meetup - January 11 2020

This New Year went off to a good start with our first Drupal User Group meetup of the year happening on January 11, 2020 at B-HUB, Mar Ivanios College. The meeting was attended by 8 members from different parts of Trivandrum.

The meetup opened at 10 AM with a presentation by Nitheesh C.S on the basics of installing Drupal followed by a Q&A session where he clarified doubts regarding the installation process with attendees who wanted to know more.

This was followed by a session on an advanced Drupal 8 topic - Event Subscribers in Drupal 8 by Binny Thomas followed by a quick Q&A on the same topic.

After the presentations we all had a quick chat to get to know each other and get the feedback on the day's events and on future events

Mr. Lini who was a lecturer at a well-known college in Trivandrum was kind enough to emphasize the need for more beginner level sessions and curriculum related to Drupal, aimed at students who are about to begin their professional careers to garner their interest in Drupal and IT in general. He also mentioned that it would be worthwhile to conduct such sessions at colleges in and around Trivandrum
