Hi,
With Memorial Day now passed and June nearly here, we need to schedule our next Omaha Drupal Meetup. Are there any topic ideas?

A Few Ideas
Here are a few ideas to [hopefully] jog discussion:
If you demo Lando, it doesn't have to be Solo
Hi,
The devs at Creighton have been using Lando pretty regularly for their development work and have documented getting a local environment going with it. That might be something they could demonstrate perhaps as a team.
Yours,
Christian
Sounds like a good presentation
I'd be interested in that presentation. For most of last year, I used Lando for my dev stack, but then switched to DDEV.
Backdrop
Regarding Backdrop, I have used it for a mockup of a project, but I found it didn't match my workflow now that I'm accustomed to Drupal 8 and deploying with git and Composer, so I'm probably not the best person to present about it. It has its charms.
Something I've been working on lately is based on Symfony framework outside of Drupal, and while I'm no expert on it, I could demonstrate some of its pros and cons.
Q2 Topic is Symfony
Ben - That sounds like a good presentation. Many of us have worked with Symfony components in the context of Drupal, so an introduction to the broader Symfony framework would certainly be useful. Let's roll with this for our upcoming meet up.
Meetup Date/Time
We'll be meeting via Zoom again this quarter. How do the following dates/times work for everyone?
Tue, June 23 12:00noon-1:00pm
Wed, June 24 12:00noon-1:00pm
Thu, June 25 12:00noon-1:00pm
works for me
Any of those times work for me.
Presentation Description
@BenStallings - Could you provide a brief description of the presentation?
brief description
I'm afraid I don't really have much to say on the subject, but how about this:
You've probably heard that Drupal 8 and 9 are built on top of the Symfony framework for PHP. But what does that framework look like without the many layers of Drupal on top of it? We'll take a conceptual look at what some of the Symfony components can do in the context of a simple Web app, and take a quick peek at the code that makes them go.
That works great! Thanks, Ben

Do we have a date?
Less than a week out -- do we have a date? :D
June 25 12:00noon-1:00pm
Yes, June 25 12:00noon-1:00pm - Nebraska Drupal Meetup (Q2) - Symfony Framework. Looking forward to it!
