Web Application Developer
Catalyst IT is part of a global team of skilled open source technologists. We specialise in developing, designing and supporting enterprise grade systems using open source technologies.
We are on the look out for a talented intermediate web application developer to join our growing team in Wellington. You will be working across challenging and interesting projects as well as maintaining and enhancing existing systems and websites for a wide range of clients.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with both our team and our clients, where your opinion and technical insight will be invaluable to our continuous improvement processes. It’s important to us to support growth for all of our employees, so if you have a willingness to learn and are enthusiastic to improve your skills, this role could be for you.
Ideally you will have strong coding experience in PHP and a good understanding of the software development lifecycle (e.g. requirements, design, development and testing). If you have Symfony and/or Drupal 8 experience or have dabbled in front end with responsive websites be sure to include those with your application as they would be a useful bonus.
Being a good employer is really important to us. We make sure everyone has the support they need to develop their skills and further their career. We also offer subsidised health insurance, flexible working hours, plenty of training opportunities (including you being the trainer if that is something you would enjoy), and a vibrant, diverse range of colleagues.
