Curious to know who I'll see there, and if you'd please attend the next meeting to share information.

I'll be going, haven't made it to a drupal houston meeting yet so here's hoping it will be the one.

Sadly I will not be attending

Bossman offered a full paid trip, but we aren't comfortable leaving Alexander (my 5mos old son) in the care of a babysitter yet. So no go for me. Have a great time out there for those who do attend.

NASA Group Going

We have at least three of us from our NASA team going, with hopes of another two joining as well. We hope to cover as much of the sessions within the six different tracks as we can - lots of content this year, and really looking forward to it. By the way, for those having difficulty with lodging - check the Marriott Downtown, only 2 blocks from Moscone and the better of the rates I could find this close to the event, plus in-room Internet is included.

What gives? A couple weeks ago, it looked like drupalcon ticket was $125. I came back last night and thought I saw it at $200. Now, with credit card in hand, ready to pull the trigger, it's up to $220? Anyone else seeing this?

That said.. I'm still intending to go but haven't yet bought my pass.

I'm going! Tips for successful stay?

Has anyone got some advice to share to make the most of this conference?

Did you read my post at

Did you read my post at linuxjournal.com? ;)

Plan ahead. Read the schedule. don't try to go to all the sessions. Go to BoFs and talk to people in the hall.

har har

Yeah, thanks, I went ahead and read it again for good measure: your reply here is the meat, and I will take it to heart. I've found at other conferences that lurking the halls like a wallflower is not effective at all, and sometimes it's all the in-between networking that proves more valuable than any scheduled events. I appreciate that the dc website tries to categorize things by interest, but my interests are still across the board.

Totally agree. Plan ahead and

Totally agree.

Plan ahead and go to the panels that you are most interested in. Realize if the panel is not working out, you not only can, but you should move to another panel. Noone will be insulted unless you sigh a heavy "this panel sucks" under your breath as you leave. When I move panels, I like to go to totally random panels. I have learned alot attending panels I did not know I would like.

It's ok to miss things. If you meet some people and you are networking, enjoy the networking.

Lastly, have fun. Enjoy the conference.

hmm - interesting. i bought

hmm - interesting. i bought mine in march, and it was $195. didn't realize they would go up...

I know they've mentioned it

I know they've mentioned it on twitter but I can't find it on the site. This is the way drupalcon tickets have worked historically and its not uncommon for cons to do.

i'm going
