Creativity, Traits, Innovation and Developers

Hi Everyone,

My partner is undertaking a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and doing her dissertation on "Creativity, Traits, Innovation and Developers".

I need to get as many Developers, Business Analysts, Project managers and Team Leaders to fill out a short questionnaire.

Sooo... Can you please, please please take the test and send it to as many people you know that qualify. Its a really important area of research as there isnt much out there about developers being creative/innovative and the results could have important implications. As Business Analysts, Project Managers and Team Leaders work on development projects also they are being used as the control in the experiment. The more people that do it the greater the statistical power so please pass it on to as many people as possible that qualify, esp the control group.

Name of investigator: Virginia Hunter

This study is looking at creativity, innovation levels and traits of Software Developers in general and in comparison to Business Analysts, Project Managers and Team Leaders within development teams. The questionnaire asks you to undertake a personality test and a variety of creativity and innovation tests. Software Developers, Business Analysts, Project managers and Team Leaders will be completing this questionnaire. The test should take between 20 - 30 minutes. The results will be aggregated and compared and presented in the form of a Psychological report.

Your responses will not be shown to, or discussed with, any other individuals or organizations in the study. All information you provide will be anonymous and kept confidential and you may at any time withdraw from the study.

As this is a scientific investigation fuller information about the nature and purpose of the study cannot be given prior to the test, as it may influence your results in some way. At the end of the test there will be a fuller explanation of the investigation and an opportunity to receive your induvidual and the overall results of the study in June when they have been analyzed and reported.

There is lack of research in this area so by undertaking the test you are contributing to an important area of science and research.
