Orientation

Ok... So we are 1 and a half week into SoC and here's how the project fared in its first week.

Things I looked into:

• CVS: Downloaded the repository's initial copy, understood how things work. I have not yet commited there though :(.
• Form API: Went through the API and saw how it is designed. Thus found out how the form builder needs to give its output.
• drupal.js: looked at the workings of drupal.js and a sub-module (effects.js).

Right now, I am looking into how a module is made.

To Do in next week:

• Gather all the requirements decide which ones are most important ones and which can be given a lesser priority. Once all these things are decided, freeze the completion criteria.
• Once the requirements are decided completely... Detail the design of the module. (There are many active discussions going on regarding AJAX, Drupal.js etc and they are likely to affect the design a gr8 deal. So I am trying to understand whatever is being told.)

Those were most of the things that had to be said. The work is not too much but I guess It is going to start increasing soon enough :). I made a calendar having the proceedings of the project... the link is here. Though most of the things are already here, You might want to have a look at it. Also I think I'll make it a practice to post atleast one status report per week. I'll do that on sunday.
