How to make my Acquia Marina site look like the live demo

What are the steps needed to make my site look like the Acquia Marina Live Demo at:
http://acquiamarina.fusiondrupalthemes.com/

Has anyone ever created step-by-step instructions? I'm doing this to learn how the theme works and to learn more about how to configure Drupal.

I have figured out how to:
* Put the login bar at the top
* Create pages and add them to the Primary Menu to make the Primary Navigation show up
* Add links to the Secondary Menu to make it show up.

But, how do you:
* Make the search box show up next to the secondary menu?
* Make the green check marks show up in the Preface Top block?

I'll blog about all the steps if this hasn't been done yet. But, right now, I'm stuck!
