We reached a major milestone just before Drupalcon Copenhagen. In preparation for the Git Fundamentals session, read-only access to all contents of CVS (apart from sandboxes) are now live on git.drupal.org!
This means you can now check out (though not yet commit to) your projects and ensure that all files, branches, and tags look like they should. If you find anything amiss, please log a bug against the Great Git Migration project issue queue.
