The educational presentation

The educational presentation sounds interesting, but I think until we really get a handle on everyone's skill level it might be better to just show off a few of our recent sites and then do a Q&A with the rest of the group. We don't want to explain the construction of a wheel to automobile designers if you know what I mean.

I concur

I agree- I forgot to put Show and Tell in there anyway, so this time around, we'll just replace the educational portion with Show and Tell. Sound good?

Good point.

I was also thinking about this page http://groups.drupal.org/node/179509 and I'm not sure how to word it but there definitely is a 3rd category that I bet we all fall into on a lot of topics, and that is like a neutral discussions group: I know __ about __ but would like to know more. Things we are not new to, and may even have a lot of experience with but would like to know more about certain areas. The atmosphere would be more of a group give & take, and less of a presentation.

I would save the more serious meetings for down the road. There appears to be alot of varying degrees of experience. I like Drastik's wording about the third category. "I know __ about __ but would like to know more"

The one thing about Drupal I've found is, you can easily know a little about a variety of different modules, and still not be real proficient in them.

So far it appears there are five or six of us. Hopefully that number will grow larger as we approach that meeting date.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.
