This group is for all Southampton Drupal users, configurers, developers in Southampton, England, United Kingdom. All welcome: commercial, hobbyist and academic/education welcome.

This group will have an online presence here: groups.drupal.org/southampton an independent website: sodrupal.org.uk (registered - which should meet the criteria for an automatic license to use the Drupal trademark) and a LinkedIn group.

A non-profit organisation to promote the use of, sharing knowledge of, deployment of and contribution to Drupal from those who are based in Southampton, UK.

To engage with LOCAL NON-PROFIT AND COMMUNITY GROUPS to help them apply Drupal to achieve their aims and beyond by providing ongoing free resources through this local Drupal group - and to get feedback from them on how to improve Drupal for these aims.

To engage with the ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS by offering a community network to benefit students' learning and practical experience by connecting them with people who could benefit from their Drupal skills. To influence syllabi to include Drupal.

To raise awareness to members of SOUTHAMPTON PUBLIC that might be interested in the options available for online expression or voice, the advantages that Drupal provides and provide guideance in setting up their own Drupal-based presence.

To liaise with private and public section organisations to deliver projects that both benefit Drupal and that benefit the community that use services based on it. To raise awareness of how Drupal can be used in organisations as part of digital transformation to empower their people to free them to be more efficient to accelerate achieving ambitious goals.

To SHOWCASE TALENT - those who have innovated with Drupal in Southampton, to inspire others. To develop the local skills base, not to commoditise Drupal development skills, but to advance it and advance Drupal, to raise it to higher levels and value those that practice it.
