javascript error

Hello everyone, I need a developer who can help me solve a conflict and a java script error I get, when combining two JS scripts using jquery libraries, in the homepage of a drupal 7 installation.

In several years building Drupal websites, I never had to outsource anything and I could always fix my issues alone, (not without tons of research and effort) but this time I'm not finding a workaround or solution, so I need help asap. I have no idea how much this could cost, but I'm hoping it's something simple that can be fixed quickly for somebody knowledgeable in the languages.

I'm using the WYSIWYG module (version 6.x-2.1) on my Drupal 6.x install. I'm using it in conjunction with Tiny MCE 3.2.6.

Everything works fine in Firefox, but in IE I am getting the following javascript error:

Object doesn’t support this property or method
tiny_mce.js Line: 1

Object doesn’t support this property or method
wysiwyg.js Line: 199 Code: 0 Line: 5

I upgraded Tiny MCE from 3.2.6 to the latest 3.3.6, but this did not fix the issue.

I also installed the NicEdit editor, but the same JS error showed up:
