Anyone seen http://opendatakit.org ?
Allows you to create xml forms, and fill them out on an android smart phone. The data can then be sent to any server. The project has software for building forms (web-based), filling them out (android app), and a sever for data collection.

Data can include photos, geo-locations, text, selects, email addresses, etc. The forms are pretty customisable, and it seems easy to make optional and repeatable components (eg. for a family survey, add as many "children" form components made up of other form components as you need).

Im Rahmen des Munich Open Government Day MOGDy veranstaltet die Landeshauptstadt in Kooperation mit der FH München am 12.02.2011 den MOGDy HackDay. Programmiererinnen, Programmierer und Interessierte sind herzlich eingeladen! Wer mit Daten der Stadt München eigene Open-Source-Applikationen entwickeln möchte, kann seine Entwicklung bis zum 31.03.2011 auf www.muenchen.de/mogdy einreichen.
Zweck?

MACHT MIT bei "MOGDY", dem Bürger-Ideen- und Programmier-Wettbewerb für Open-Govevernment/Open-Data Lösungen, den die Stadtverwaltung (!) München ausrichtet. Bis Ende nächster Woche kann man Ideen einbringen und abstimmen, auf http://mogdy.liqd.net/proposal (mitmachen ist supereinfach). Dann gibt's ein Camp, und dann einen Umsetzungs-Wettbewerb. Gerade für Drupal hochinteressant, da Drupal die Plattform für Open-Gov und Open-Data Web-Projekte ist.
