e-Commerce v4.x

I have been doing a bit of work on e-Commerce moving towards the new release. I am also stepped back and taken a look at what is important and what is needed to be released. Basically when it was all broken down it there are 3 major areas which need to be completed.

I know that not much has been happening in e-Commerce laterly, but I am stating to get back into it and have committed a new version of ec_charge module which will be much more powerful in that it will be able to replace a number of module like tax, and shipping, and also reduce modules like coupon, and allow global discount codes from import strings or cookies.

I had a customer that required PayPal Express, and has kindly sponsored the implementation of PayPal express into the system. It still requires some work like getting addresses, but it working and allowing the collection of the money before the transaction is created. I need to also do things like add an icon to the cart view so that you can select express right from there.

We do not yet support PayPal Pro, but if some people are wanting to sponsor this development for v4.x then any offers will be welcome.

I have put in a bit of work on v4. I have re-jigged the search for transactions so that it is fairly generic and I can use it for anything. I have also created a receipts search which allows you to search on receipts.

Since this is a fairly big update I am going to put out a new alpha once I have got this complete. So if you have anything for the next alpha, let me know sooner rather than later.

Well I have had a couple of request to shipping working for v4 sooner rather than later, and the fact that over the past couple of versions the shipping/shipcalc modules has really lagged.

At this stage I am not too sure what I am going to do with this module. It is quite a mess and I really don't like how you expand it and add more shipping calculation gateways to it.

Include files are fine for simple places but once you get more complex gateways/requirements it really gets hard. Also there seems to be quite a bit of duplication, between the partner includes.
