How do GPS tracking telematics data sent from the mobile device to the server?

Hello
Is there an application contributed drupal module for producing a pattern of deployment of a GPS tracking device with a GSM modem which typically uses a SIM card.

Maybe a drupal installation profile.
If not someone to describe a method used drupal for the transmission of GPS data to the server?
All aplications open source in connection with this idea and compatible drupal welcome anyone interested to also collaborate on the project
