drop-downs, dynamic width, style sheets

I'm a newbie to Omega 3. I'm running into problems I can't find answers to. I've looked in the handbook, which seems to be for Omega 2.
- I'm still not seeing my drop down links in the main menu. I've set the main and secondary menus to the same main menu. I see references to setting menu levels but I can't find where to do that. How do I do this?
- Right now I don't have anything in my sidebars and yet the content area is a fixed size and won't expand out the take up the extra room. Is there a way to make it dynamic?
