Designing for download file on the page

Hello eveybody,
I am designing website in which i want to upload some white papers and presentations for downloading for the users. So, I can not understand how to design the page so it look beautiful. Basically, it is successfully upload and download on the website by using the file module but i want to design in a good way. Please give me your suggestions.
