Read moreMeetup in Norfolk...?
For the last several months we've been having meetups in the Newport News area, and it's been great. But it seems that the luring tunnel traffic keeps Norfolk/VA beach folks from easily getting to the Newport News meetings, and the folks north of the tunnel have mentioned that heading to Norfolk is tough too.
I'm just curious if we were to have meetups in the Norfolk area, are their people that would be interested in coming who generally avoid going to Newport News for the meetups?
Thanks,
Josh

I am watching Andrew Mallis's

This session was really useful.
I have successfully gotten some of the functionality done, but as usual there is a part that needs me to go edit code and I am lost.
See video at time 25:15 where he is using CUSTOM styles in his format dropdown.
What I want is my dropdown 'Format' to populate with formats from MY css rather than the generic list of them. See attachment dropdowns.png for what i see now.
See goodstyles.png for what i WANT to see.

Hosting with SSH/Drush?
I am looking into hosting for my personal/BLOG site. Needs to be cheap but I hope to be able to use drush. Any recommendations? I tried to call a few of them during the day.. but i was like 70th in line to speak to customer service. Come to think of it maybe that says something about who to use too.. Any good picks?
Read moreQuestions about Custom Context
Does anyone have experience writing custom context conditions into modules? I have one that has me stumped.
What I need is a simple context, the plugin for which gives the user a short list of allowed values (3 or 4) to be compared against a single external variable (in this case, stored as a session variable).
I have the rest of the framework I need pretty much hammered out at this point-- it's just the custom context that's causing me heartburn.
Any takers? I'm happy to provide more details upon request.
Read moreIRC? Support? Best resources?
Any of you have any luck with IRC?
I used to go on the Drupal IRC channels when i was new to Drupal. It sort of turned me off to IRC because I was probably just asking too many questions I suppose. I have not been on there in a while.. Now it seems If I went back my questions would be so vastly complex that it might be even worse. I could probably answer some other peoples questions at this point at least.

If you're going to DrupalCon Denver later this month and are interested in getting together with other area/regional group members, let us know and we'll try to meet up. At least 3 members of the Hampton Roads/Tidewater group are going.
If you're not going and are interested in knowing more about DrupalCon, maybe we can give an overview at our next meetup.

Any of you have a good, easy way to create image galleries in D7? I'm trying to do something thats super-simple to use for my clients, have multiple galleries display on different pages, and have easy uploading of pictures. and 'imagecache'like on the fly resizing.
I could do this in D6 but this is my first site LEARNING D7
Thanks

Anyone in the Williamsburg/Newport News/Hampton area interested in a meetup? I know there have been some Tidewater meetups in the past, but was not able to attend. I'm looking for opportunities to network with other Drupal-ers. I'm planning to head to Richmond for their February meetup on Omega theme and would love something like that here.
Read moreGoin Mobile
Hi everyone,
Anyone have experience building mobile sites in which you can manage the content with Drupal?
We built a site for a conference that's in the spring, and the client would like to have a mobile version of the site that simplifies the information, shares the schedule of the conference programs, a map of the event location, and possibly a twitter feed of comments related to the conference.
Not 100% that Drupal is a good solution for this, but their current site is already in Drupal and I'd really like their team to only have to manage content in one place.
Thanks!
Read moreOpinion(s) on Drupal 6 vs. Drupal 7?
Hi Everyone -
I'd appreciate any perspectives/opinions/experiences on Drupal 7. I'd like to build a "responsive" site that can adapt to any screen size (who wouldn't - right? ;-)
Our current site was built with D6. While not overly complicated it has multiple Blogs, Feeds and provides access to video via a video library. With the new site, we'd like to introduce a Mapping feature (i.e. Tilemill/Mapbox) to provide ready access to projects and related data/content in an attractive, easy to use interface.
