I've been a Mac user since a tender age and have a background in visual arts, publishing, book design / layout / overseeing press runs, typography and identity design, which went from passionate hobby to profession in 1997. A strong desire to express creativity in different mediums has led me on an exciting journey of discovery with print, documentary / film / sound mixing, animation and web development over the years.
I've been really enjoying a focus in web development since '05 and Drupal in particular since late '06. I'm drawn to web dev because it's a potential platform for such an incredibly rich and dynamic experience which accommodates just about all other mediums I enjoy (the written word, stunning visuals, audio, video, and various other kinds of interaction).
I think Drupal is an excellent platform for rich web applications/sites and consider it to be the big boss (#1) of its class. The Drupal community is comprised of so many awesome individuals (including its original mastermind, Dries Buytaert) who are responsible for Drupal's success.
I am passionate about surfing (waves), being physically active and doing yoga to help create a counter balance to work life. I'm into eating [and occasionally cooking] healthy and tasty food, being a good husband and friend. I love good music and consider myself an aspirer for profound truths and experiences of this amazing thing we call life.
