I spent five years doing Drupal for a public library in Alabama before joining Acquia in 2011. Since then, I've crunched a lot of Drupal tickets and moved on to help train the next generation of Acquia's problem-solvers.
In my spare time I write, quilt, get into PHP-related shenanigans, and do random things like learn to blow glass. Since I work remotely, I try to use that to my advantage, and travel a great deal; I'm probably the only person to travel to Amsterdam and actually WORK from Amsterdam.
I have two twitter accounts: @domesticat is my personal account, which is private in a vain attempt to keep some division between my personal and professional lives online; @amyqmc is my public, Drupal- and library-centric account.
