- About Me
At home I'm a member of the local Board of Education and do quite a bit of volunteer work and web development for the school district and a host of other non-profits of interest.
I've spent the last several years building static web sites with considerable custom PHP code mixed in to provide content management. Got the Drupal bug in January 2009 when I accepted the challenge of rebuilding the local school district's web presence.
When I'm not at home on the computer I try to get out and do some geocaching.

On September 1, 2012 (one day after "retiring" from HP) I started work as the Digital Library Applications Developer at Grinnell College. I have an office there in the basement (Where the Magic Happens) of Burling Library.
Before September 2012 I was a telecommuter for HP - Enterprise Services and I largely served their Black & Veatch account (client HQ is in Kansas City). At HP I wore my Civil/Structural Engineer (BSCE - Iowa State '78 and MSCE - Univ. of Kansas '95) hat and had been involved in software development and maintenance in that arena for about 30 years.
