CDMUG is having our 3rd annual Holiday Open Source Social Event to get together without the laptops, projectors, and WiFi too simply hang out and party. Join us all for a fabulous shin-dig in honour of every CDMUG member and the efforts we make to give back to the Chicago community. We have a lot to celebrate this year, including an active web-place @ cdmug.org, multiple Drupal Test Drives, Drupal Camp Chicago, and building a trusted network for learning and educating each other about the best open source CMS available - Drupal.

WindyCitizen is looking for a PHP developer to work on some innovative projects. Experience with Drupal, Javascript, Facebook Connect, and the Twitter API is recommended. This will be contract work with potential towards an in-house position. Chicago local preferred but telecommuters would work fine as well. Not looking for other businesses.

Thanks to all who brought themselves, drinks, snacks, and their Drupal Knowledge. The quarterly Indy Drupal HackFest hit #5 yesterday with a bang! 24 people showed up to share what they know and learn what they don't know. Geographically the group was all over the place; including Kentuckiana, Columbus, Cincinnati, Mishawaka, Indianapolis, and the greater Indiana in general.

You are invited to attend Drupal Camp Chicago on Saturday and Sunday, December 12 & 13, 2009.

Who/Why:

For more than 3 years the Chicago Drupal Meet Up Group has highlighted the benefits of an open source initiative. We have built resourceful bridges between Chicago and Mid-West establishments including non-profits, entrepreneurs, Drupal development companies, independent consultants, hobbyist, and others. The objective of Drupal Camp is to bring everyone together for open communication, education, fun, and industry networking.

What:

An attendee-driven format with advanced resources available makes this event unique. Need help with a problem, looking for work, or looking to hire Drupal talent? Find someone with a solution at Drupal Camp Chicago.
Multiple presentations addressing beginners through advanced developers will run simultaneously throughout both days. All skill levels are welcome and laptops are encouraged. Seating is limited, register now.

Currently seeking a senior level Drupal developer who has experience building Drupal social networking sites and who is a master at views, ubercart and organic groups customization.

I am a web developer who does freelance work in the evenings and on weekends. I have a number of clients who are requesting that they be set up with a CMS. My clients range from small business individuals with a seven to ten page informational site, small corporations, and the occasional client requesting an online store. I manage a drupal site in my day to day job and I have built a couple of other drupal sites myself.
