Web Designer/Developer | University of Iowa
The University of Iowa Information Technology Services organization (ITS), is seeking to fill a position for a Web Designer/Developer. We're expanding our central Drupal web services team. The job location is in downtown Iowa City, Iowa.
Persons in this position are responsible for working directly with colleges, organizations, departments and end users to create and/or redesign websites in Drupal. Project work could include design and testing of mobile applications.

The Marion Public Library is accepting proposals to design a new website for the library. The Library’s current website http://www.marionpubliclibrary.org was built using a custom content management system that does not allow library staff to add new pages or change navigation items. The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years of professional experience in:
• Drupal 7, or 2-3 years experience with a combination of Drupal 6/7
• Experience with HTML/ CSS and comfortable with layout/UI/UX related development and Drupal Themes
• SQL language skills working with MySQL
• Knowledge of best practices with Drupal and able to train and assist user

We had a discussion riddled with confusion and debate about under what conditions search terms are passed from Google searches to the target site. Primarily, there was debate about Google searches executed as Secure Shell or https. This is of interest because Google has made a move to run searches when logged into Google as Secure Shell.
