Description

We're seeking a truly brilliant individual to architect, build, deploy, and support (post-deployment) Acquia’s physical systems and network infrastructure. This candidate must have a deep understanding of different platforms (i.e. Unix, Linux, Windows) and system software such as backup software, monitoring software, patch management, software deployment, etc. Candidates with commercial Java development experience will have an edge, since such individuals can work alongside our web service engineers to translate our technical capabilities into highly-reliable Acquia Network Services.

The profile we’re looking for is a strong director level person to build and operate an incredible inside sales team. It’s an in- and out-bound volume sales business with average transactions sizes around the $5-10K range, but with a pretty long tail of small deals and a few $100K plus deals on the other end of the spectrum.

Sorry for the delay, but between DrupalCon, the 'nerd ick' cold/flu that's been passing around the office, and of course the snow (it's falling again right now), things have been a mite hectic.

We need to pick a date/location for a first NH meetup... suggestions welcomed.

Ben has kindly offered the conference room at Commonplaces, which will hold about 15-20 people, and has a projector. It's in Hampstead, conveniently located 15 minutes off I93 exit 3. Other offers will be considered, either for a first meeting, or future meetings, so speak up!

Feeling a little bit of a post-Drupalcon lull and mulling over travel plans to next weekend's DrupalCampNYC4, I found myself wishing that there was something a little bit closer to home to look forward to going to occasionally.

One of the things that was exciting to see last week at Drupalcon in Boston was the amount of New Hampshire based folks who are involved with Drupal. I know Seth and I briefly discussed the possibility of trying to get the ball rolling to do some meetups, so I figured I'd step in and see if I couldn't start up some introductions because I know I'd love to see what other Granite Staters are doing with Drupal!

While a Patriots or Red Sox themed logo would be nice given their winning streaks this year, licensing issues make it unlikely to be feasible...

Knowing that there are a lot of BarCamping Drupallers, I figured I'd point out BarCampManchester up here in Manchester, NH. Manchester's only an hour north of Boston, so it might be a great day trip for some of you.

I'll be presenting an intro to Drupal on June 4th in Concord.

Intro will consist of some basic Drupal points, and then some simple setting up and configuring modules.
