We are always looking for good news stories and announcements. We've been pretty good working with book publishers to promote Drupal books on Drupal.org. We've done less well with DVDs, but with Lullabot's latest we are starting to turn the corner.
We've recently missed Bryght's hosting product re-launch, and the Drupal miracle DVD series. http://www.masteringdrupal.com/news/drupal-miracle
Tom Geller's new Drupal series with Lynda.com is coming soon. There's supposed to be at least 6 more books coming over the next 6 months.
Are there any other product launches that we've missed, that should get attention? I think if can demonstrate that we are actively trying to promote Drupal products more will be created and it will help the Drupal project.
Cheers,
Kieran

Hello Amazon,
thanks for your interest in our Drupal video training (at masteringdrupal.com). It is currently under development, I think it will release in 2 months, but the release date is not set yet. So it is better to mention it only when we will release it for sure.
Thanks,
Bence Ur
Thanks for the mention!
Hey, Kieran! Thanks for the mention of my lynda.com series, which will be released... well, I can't say until it's actually out. But it's going to be much sooner than I thought. I'm excited.
For the record, here's a list of upcoming books that I know of:
Niall Mansfield; UIT Cambridge; 448pp.; due August 2008
Link goes to Amazon page
Aaron Winborn; Packt; 228pp.; due September 2008
Link goes to Packt page: not on Amazon.com yet for some reason
Victor Kane; Wrox; 624pp.; due December 2008
Link goes to Amazon page
Greg Holsclaw; Manning; 300pp.; due March 2009
Link goes to Manning page: not on Amazon.com yet for some reason
I'm also pitching a Drupal book, and will let everyone know if it gets picked up. Cheers,

Almost certainly within the month; hopefully within the next two weeks.

tgeller, thanks for
tgeller, thanks for mentioning the book, Hello! Drupal. Also, it is with Manning Publications, not Packt. It will be released to Amazon soon. Also, I am working with them to give Drupal.org an affiliate reseller agreement, which will pay up to 15% to drupal.org (much higher than the Amazon referral %).

events are products, too!
This is crossposted from the Guidelines for the front page issue at drupal.org:
For what it's worth, a similar conversation about which events get promoted to the front page is starting up again in the post about the Do it with Drupal seminar. Having just been to DrupalCamp LA, I'm curious what the policy actually is and how to get it posted in or near the advertising FAQ so that it's easier to find than this particular issue.
I didn't even know there was a DrupalCon Brazil until reading Kieran's comment about it. Amazing.
