I have a newcomer and fan of Drupal. I am wondering whether it is possible to have monthly or bimonthly Drupal Meetup in Shanghai, China?

Hoping for more meetups too
Hi Justin,
I keep hoping there will be more meetups and drink nights too, but alas never see anything happening here. Want to start something? I would love to do an evening thing after work bimonthly, as I am single it is easy to do...and would think maybe a lot of Drupal programmers are. Would really like to keep up with the trends of Drupal, especially Drupal 7. I'm open to meeting up to talk Drupal with whoever at least one weeknight next month, and hopefully on Saturdays once a month in 2011? Anyone?

I just moved back to shanghai
I just moved back to shanghai from NYC and that I'd like to help organize meetups every month. Before we start meetups, lets get to know one another at the beers event http://groups.drupal.org/node/122134 .

Coming back to Shanghai after a few months of wandering; we'll be having a Drupal meetup right after the Chinese New year, hopefully with a nice weather. We'll be communicating the details on Monday and I hope to see people at the Drupal Drinks as well :0.

Not sure exactly how you could have ended up on this pretty old post, but we're always very happy to hear about Drupalers in Shanghai!
In general, the Shanghai community is pretty active and there are several events organized on a monthly basis whether for Training, Co-working, Meetup or more informal get-togethers.
You would certainly be warmly welcome to attend December's Drupal Workshop, next Saturday (Dec. 21st), for which you could sign-up on the event's page at anytime.
Since Workshops are held on a monthly basis, if you can't make it next Saturday, hopefully you could perhaps attend the following months.
Otherwise, Upcoming Events are currently listed on the Shanghai group's homepage and if you joined the group, you should be able to receive email notifications whenever new events are posted.
We're surely looking forward to meeting you soon at one of the local events.
