Moscone Center SF

This is a barcamp/unconference style Drupal meetup for us at CommunityOne! So bring the topic you want to discuss!

Space available in Hall A - section of tables, white boards, wifi (opportunity for it to be very noisy)
- space is available 5/5 from 11a - 8p (reception is held in that hall from 6-8p)

I can see about a projector if it is needed. I will have a camera guy there too documenting.

Please Register so they have enough space, food and such! I believe currently we have room for 40.

In the "referral code" field, put in "Drupal".

General session is from 9:30 - 10:45am. We have the room from 11:00- til 6:00pm

Once signed up, they will receive the SWAG bag, lunch, reception. But also access to all of the CommunityOne sessions and a free pass for Day 1 at JavaOne. CommuntiyOne is a free event. http://developers.sun.com/events/communityone/

I personally would like to talk about how we can create a community of communities w/ Drupal and many of the social networking tools including OpenID and OpenSocial. I am hoping the OpenID people will be popping in since they are next door.

who am I?

Since several people have asked that question... ( I also did an intro in drupalchyx.)

The best thing to do is Google me. I'm a very Busy gal... That said.

I founded a 501C3 Called League of Tech Voters - LoTV for short. I started it 4 yrs ago after lobbying for ACLU and EFF on technical issues. I found 80% of the time all I had to do was show up and talk to them. Decided when needed technical representation in govt (so stupid ideas like diebold doing the voting machines doesn't happen again or at least happens less...)

I did this event http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccDORj0syyE
I am doing an even large one the weekend before OSCON.

I have been working DB since 89 and did some large scale CMS in the late 90 early 2000. I have played with Plone, Joomla and Drupal. Though decided about 2 yrs ago that Drupal wins hand down. Our site is in Drupal.

I am also the OS evangelist for grid.org. I just got hired and I am redoing that site as we speak in drupal. I am also lobbying for a large budget in regards to some module development I would like done... And that is where this event at Sun's CommunityOne comes into play.

I want my grid.org site to cross pollinate bug and issue tracking information to other OS sites. UniCluster Express - our open source grid solution - uses about 50 different pieces of OS software. I want to be sure we communicate well with all of those geographically diverse teams.

LoTV also wants this functionality for our codeathon events.

So at this dev day - my secret agenda is to talk about that. but it is open and gosh I hope we talk about other things Drupal as well!
