Our next monthly meetup for the Manchester/Concord area users will be Thursday the 9th of Dec at 6p.m.
Next Meeting Thursday, Dec 9, 6pm to 9pm @ Amoskeag Business Incubator
33 South Commercial Street ° Manchester, NH 03101
Directions: http://www.abi-nh.com/about/directions
Primary Topic/Presentation
We currently don't have anything set for the primary discussion topic, so we will either take suggestions here of things everyone would like to discuss, or can simply have a good free-form discussion during the evening, and tackle topics and issues as they arise. But if someone has a topic that you'd like to present, post it here, and we can make it happen!
If you have any specific questions for the group, feel free to post them in reply to this thread, that way anyone with experience with the topic can have a little prep time to evaluate potential solutions.
Please make sure to use the "Sign Up" button for this event so that we may continue to know how many users will be in attendance. This is really important as the group grows so we know when we will have to look for a bigger location to hold us all!!
Dinner & Drinks
After each meetup, we depart from the "structured" environment, and continue our discussions over beers and/or food at Murphy's Tap Room, or possibly the Strange Brew. We look forward to seeing you all there!!

Potential Topic - Drupal 7
After posting this, I had one idea for a potential topic.
An overview (rough) of Drupal 7 now that it is in Release Candidate stage, and some of the changes for you (front & backends) and a discussion on if it's ready for you to use.

Also, developing in both 6 and 7 together
In addition to this, a discussion about migration strategies, or even simpler, how do you develop and maintain one site in 6, while exploring and/or developing another site in 7. Can you use the same server? What effect does this have on the development, test, and production(live) environments. Any best practices for making the switch?
Is Drupal 7 just the same as Drupal 6 but with some popular modules moved into core? Or is there a real paradigm shift and accompanying learning curve?

I don't think you can go
I don't think you can go wrong discussing anything on Drupal 7! I had hope to have have a site up by now on D 7 but my desktop crashed. :( Ended up getting a bare bones kit that I'm still loading.
See you Thursday!!

I hope to be there
I'm about to embark on a new fine art photography site using Drupal and would love to pick the group's collective brain.
