modulist - Fri, 2008-05-02 01:24
Start:
2008-05-14 19:00 US/Eastern - 2008-05-14 21:00 US/EasternOur May meetup will be happening at Books and Books again. Try to RSVP early so we can get an idea of headcount, so we know where to reserve table space.
The agenda is still open, so please feel free to suggest topics in the comments. If they're more than we can cram in to the May meeting, we'll just have great material for June.
I looking forward to seeing you there.

i am a newbie to the florida area from washington DC...
and I am planning on starting some online magazines... mostly tech journals, all based on Drupal 6. But I will have a list of questions that I would like to get some advice on. So this will be an interesting event.
just some of the first basic questions.
1... Drupal 6, and ecommerce. does anyone know of a success story. I may be wrong but the ecom solutions for 6 dont seem to have been ported from drup5 yet.
2... I am a little confussed on what the 'Best Practice' is for themeing. I would really like to get some advice on the latest and greatest direction to go. I have no plans at all of using Drup5.
3... I can not figure out the CCK module in 6 yet, what is up with it? More important, I have heard that most hard core Drup's just prototype in CCK, then write custom mods.
4... I would like to experiment with a multisite install, but I want to maintain the actual data in another DB, separate from the Main DB. I know I should write a mod for it, but I just want to make sure that I am not re-inventing the wheel here.
5... Any really happy people using adobe products with Drupal. I understand that there is a new Dreamweaver API entension.
